All About Escort Cards

What are Escort Cards you ask? Well, quite simply, they are a small card that displays your guests’ names, assigned table number, and their meal choice. When couples send out their invitations their guests pre-select their meal choice and return it with their RSVP. After couples create their seating chart they use that information to create their Escort Cards.

We display Escort Cards in the Foyer at an 8’ banquet table. During Cocktail Hour while guests are mingling and enjoying hors d'oeuvres they pick up their Escort Card. After Cocktail Hour is over guests bring their Escort Card into the Ballroom and put it at their place settings so the servers know who has what entreé choice at the table. Escort Cards are a less formal option than Place Cards. The difference between the two is that Place Cards are already set up at each place setting, which means guests are assigned their seats.

Not only are Escort Cards an opportunity to get creative and add a personal touch to the venue, they are also essential to ensuring a smooth dinner service. Here are some of our favorite Escort Card displays and ideas:

Enhance the overall look of the display with other personal touches

Don't forget: Escort Cards just show guests where their seats are, their place is on the dance floor.
